For your landscaping, soil prep is very important in the success of the sod and establishing a lawn. Soil preparation can only be done once before laying your sod. Clear all weeds and debris from the area. We recommend a minimum depth of quality topsoil to be 2-4 inches prior to installation of sod. Level and grade the entire sod area. Soil should be graded to about one inch below the concrete. Water soil to allow proper settling of the ground and any trenches made prior to sod installation. Lightly rake soil before turf installation to allow proper contact between sod and soil. Make sure soil preparation is complete before your sod delivery arrives. Soil prep advice for 84415

Laid around 3500 sq/ft of sod and it all looks fantastic. Even the tiny pieces I cut out to plant in a few bare areas around my already established grass grew in thick and green. I really liked Sod King and was happy I went with them.

So, so, so easy. I did a quote online and got it in my email within 10 minutes and was able to accept it, or call if I had questions. I also loved that I got a call, making sure my delivery day would work and was offered services from their partners if I needed sprinkling systems, ground leveling, etc.... Delivery was a breeze!! It was dropped off in the morning and I didn’t even have to sign anything or talk to anyone. I got an email to pay the invoice and that was it! They even came to pick up the pallets after we were finished!! 10/10 recommend using Sod King.

By far this company, and Sarah, know how to communicate with customers. There were mechanical issues on the sod farm which delayed my delivery. Although the message was not something I wanted to hear, Sarah did a great job keeping me updated. Hands down a great job on communicating. The rescheduled sod delivery driver called me at said he would be late, arriving at 11:30. When I told him I was supposed to have delivery by 10am he said he wasn't told that. He called me at 12 and said he couldn't find the key and would be here soon. My sod finally arrived at 1pm. There was about 10-12 rolls that were too dry to chance on putting it in. There were about 10-15 rolls that had some very thin spots from uneven cuts. Overall this is very low since I ordered 3200 square feet. Again, The communication from Sod King, specifically Sarah, was hands down some of the best I have had from a service company. Thank you, Gerald

Sod came early in the morning and the product seems fantastic. Attached soil wasn't wet and grass is very green. Very consistent sizing.
